What's New

Cloud Control 5 (Preview)

We're introducing Cloud Control 5 — a significant step up from Cloud Control 4 (CC4) in how much of Salesforce your agent can confidently work across. It's available today as an opt-in preview, so you can try it on specific agents while everything else continues to run on the stable CC4.

What's better with Cloud Control 5

  • Commerce — stronger results on B2B and B2C Commerce Cloud work
  • Service & Field Operations — much improved handling of Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning scenarios
  • Industry Clouds — meaningful new coverage for Manufacturing, Financial Services, Experience Cloud, and Nonprofit (NPSP)
  • Data Cloud, in depth — noticeably better at specialised Data Cloud work: identity resolution, segmentation, calculated insights, Einstein Studio, and personalization
  • Marketing Cloud, in depth — deeper support for Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Campaign Brief Builder, Script Activities, Package Manager, and Marketing Cloud Next
  • Agentforce development — stronger at building and deploying custom Agentforce agents, including Agent Script
  • Account Engagement (Pardot) — broader support including advanced Engagement Studio extensions
  • Einstein AI — clearer handling of end-to-end Einstein setup and usage
  • Salesforce Knowledge — better at authoring, organising, and maintaining Knowledge content
  • MuleSoft, end to end — substantially stronger across the MuleSoft platform: API management, CI/CD, Composer, DataWeave, IDP, monitoring, RPA, and runtime
  • Platform power-users — new strength on advanced patterns like Decision Tables and platform data investigations
  • Stronger recall on the long tail — Cloud Control 5 draws on a much larger pool of historical Salesforce know-how, so it's more likely to have a useful answer for niche or older scenarios

For most Salesforce work today, we recommend giving Cloud Control 5 a try — especially if your workflows touch Agentforce (including Agent Script), Commerce, Service, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or MuleSoft.

How to try it

On the dashboard, open the Cloud Control selector next to the Build / Plan button and pick CC5 (Preview) before you start your next agent. Your choice is fixed for the lifetime of that agent — to switch, simply create a new one. The active Cloud Control version stays visible as a small badge in the agent's chat toolbar.

A note on preview

Cloud Control 5 is labelled Preview for a reason: it's larger and more current, but still settling in. If anything feels off on a particular task, switch back to CC4 for that one and let us know what you saw — your feedback directly shapes what we roll out next.

What's Improved

  • Always know what your agent knows — a small CC4 / CC5 badge on every agent makes the current Cloud Control version unmistakable
  • Safe defaults — new agents continue to use the stable Cloud Control 4 unless you explicitly opt in, so existing workflows are unaffected
  • Precise file drops in file view — dropping a file onto a folder uploads into that folder, onto a file uploads into its parent, and onto empty space uploads to the workspace root. The reference uploader no longer grabs drops meant for the file browser.
  • Uninterrupted B2C Commerce Cloud sessions — long-running Commerce Cloud agents previously stalled every ~30 minutes when authentication expired. Now your connection is refreshed automatically before expiry, so extended tasks keep running without manual re-auth or silent failures.
