What's New
Marketing Cloud now uses a Public App integration
Marketing Cloud connections in MeshMesh now use a Public App integration with personal sign-in, replacing the previous shared-credentials setup. Each user authenticates with their own Marketing Cloud account, so every action your agent takes in Marketing Cloud is traceable to a real user.
Why we changed this
- No client secret — the Public App integration uses the Authorization Code grant, so no shared secret is stored anywhere.
- Per-user audit trail — Marketing Cloud sees each agent action under the actual user's identity, not a shared API user.
- Refresh tokens stay server-side — they're stored in MeshMesh's encrypted vault, never on your device. Short-lived access tokens are refreshed automatically.
What you need to do
Existing Marketing Cloud connections will be deactivated and need to be set up again as a new Public App integration. The setup is a one-time admin task in your Marketing Cloud account — creating an Installed Package and adding a Public App API Integration — and then each team member who uses the integration signs in with their own Marketing Cloud account.
