May 7, 2026 - Workbenches & Multi-Agent Collaboration
Run multiple agents side by side in a shared workspace with shared connections and references.
May 7, 2026
What's New
- Workbenches — a new shared workspace where multiple agents collaborate on the same project. Set your connections and references once on the workbench, and every agent inside picks them up automatically. Agents can hand work off to each other directly — or @-mention a peer to pull them in mid-task — so you can have one analysing pipeline, another running a marketing report, and a third pulling it all together, all without copying state around.
- Plan mode by default for new agents in a workbench, so they map out the work before changing anything. Switch to Build any time you're ready to ship.
- Watch each agent live — every agent in a workbench has its own browser view, running in its own isolated session so multiple agents can browse in parallel without stepping on each other. Switching tabs swaps the live view to that agent.
- Shared workspace + per-agent folders — each workbench has a shared folder all agents can read and write, plus a private scratch folder per agent so they never overwrite each other's files.
- Unified Outputs — see every agent's artifacts from the whole workbench in one place.
- Polished new-workbench flow — the create dialog now shows a calm "Crafting" state while your shared workspace is being prepared.
What's Improved
- Live browser sessions are noticeably faster and smoother — frame-paced rendering, native-feel scrolling on Mac, and the view auto-follows whichever tab the agent jumps to
- New agents in an existing workbench start faster — we skip warm-up steps when the workspace is already running
- New workbench agents now default to our latest model for sharper planning and faster work
- Editable workbench titles, plus right-click actions on agent tabs
- Bigger, more legible dialogs across the app
- The drawer's "Archived" sections only appear when there's actually something to restore, and load on demand so the drawer opens instantly
- Live browser view recovers gracefully if the connection blips, and clears itself when an agent closes the page
- Archiving an agent now asks to confirm, and cleans up coordination state behind the scenes
