This release adds a new way to connect Salesforce Core using your own External Client App, so your agents can run on the web and keep working on their own — no desktop app needed. It's especially handy if you're on Windows and rely on the web version.
What's New
- Connect Salesforce with your own External Client App — a new connection method under Salesforce Core lets you connect using an External Client App you create in Salesforce. Because the connection runs on our servers, your agents work on the web and can keep running on their own — including scheduled and always-on tasks — without the desktop app open. This is especially useful if you're on Windows and work in the web version, where always-on agents now work the same as on desktop. Paste in your app's Consumer Key, copy the callback URL we give you straight into Salesforce, and you're connected. Your app's own settings decide exactly what the agent can access.
What's Improved
- Security patches and fixes, plus behind-the-scenes hardening
